Add models to a provider#
Create model configurations one at a time from discovery, the catalogue or manual entry, or many at once.
Before you begin#
- You need the Owner or Admin role.
- You have an enabled provider with working credentials. See Add an AI provider.
Add one model#
- In the sidebar, open Models and select New Model. The New Model dialog has three tabs: Model, Pricing and Configuration.
- On Model, under "Which model?", choose the Provider and then a source:
- Discover lists what the provider serves. It groups models that match the catalogue apart from "No catalogue match", and disables models you've already configured.
- Catalogue lists the vendor's published models. The vendor override link borrows metadata from another vendor, and a warning says so.
- Manual lets you type the Deployed Name the provider expects.
- Under "How does ATLAS refer to it?", set the Name and, optionally, a Slug. The preview shows the reference callers use,
provider-slug/model-slug. ATLAS generates a blank slug when you save. - On Pricing, review the prices. Catalogue prices are pre-filled and tagged. Tick the confirmation. Leave the optional cache rates unset to bill them at the input rate, or enter
0for free. - On Configuration, choose the protocol, capabilities, temperature or reasoning settings, Max tokens and Active.
- Select Create Model.
If discovery fails because of a configuration problem, fix the provider's settings first. Other failures offer Retry.
Add many models#
- On Models, open the arrow beside New Model and choose Bulk add discovered models. The same entry exists on a provider's Models tab.
- Select models: choose the provider, then Discover or Catalogue, and tick the models. A batch holds up to 100, and select-all skips models already configured.
- Configure models: open every model once to set its capabilities and prices. The side rail shows which models are reviewed, priced but unopened, or unpriced. One currency applies to the whole batch.
- Submit, then check Results. If some fail, choose Fix N failed models to correct and resubmit only those. ATLAS keeps the models that were created.
Edit a model or copy its reference#
- To edit a model, open it and unlock editing. An existing model has the tabs General, Configuration and Costs, where Costs holds the prices you set on Pricing at creation. Change fields, then save once from the header. Changing the slug warns you that existing references break.
- To use the model in API calls, select the copy button beside its reference to copy
provider-slug/model-slug.
Result: the model is listed with its reference, provider and per-million prices. Make it available to people through spaces and projects.
