Manage people in a space#
Add people to a space, change their role and remove them.
Before you begin#
- You are a space manager of the space or of one of its parent spaces, or an Owner or Admin of the organisation.
- The people you add already belong to your organisation and have signed in at least once.
Add people#
- Open Spaces, select the space, and go to the People tab.
- Select Add Members.
- Search by name or email address. People who are not yet in the space are listed first. Existing members carry a disabled "Member" badge.
- Tick one or more people and choose a role. The role applies to everyone you selected. Division and Unit spaces accept only the manager role.
- Select Add N members, where N is the number you ticked. For one person the button reads Add 1 member.
ATLAS adds all selected people. If any selection fails, none are added. A selection fails when the person is already a member or is outside the organisation.
Change a role#
You can change roles in team spaces. Division and Unit spaces keep the manager role.
- In the People tab, open the row menu of the person.
- Choose Change to Manager or Change to Member.
Remove a person#
- Open the row menu of the person and choose Remove.
- Confirm.
The person loses access to the space, their API keys are detached from it, and their budget share is removed. Under a Proportion split, ATLAS rescales the remaining shares so they still add up to 100%. Under a Fixed split, nothing is rescaled. The person's amount is freed and the other members keep theirs.
Good to know#
- A team space always keeps at least one manager. ATLAS refuses to remove or demote the last manager.
- The organisation's root space has no People tab.
- Under a Fixed or Proportion budget split, new members have no share until you assign one on the Budget tab.
